Creative Consoles

In yesterday's post, I wrote about placing a console table against the wall between the kitchen and the living room. There are endless possibilities when it comes to styling a console table. It almost seems like this ultimate designer's trifecta shared with fire place mantles and bookcases. Can you really count the number of ways a console is styled?

That may sound great but on the other hand, with so many choices, it's hard to decide where to start. (Does anyone else think this sounds like Pickle Barrel's extensive but all-so-delicious menu??)

So to help guide me along, I'll be using tips from the 3 Secrets to Styling a Console Table post by Emma at The Marion House Book blog (this fellow Torontonian's blog is a must read!) and Styling Console Tables from the House & Home magazine blog.

Those tips and some good ol' inspiration photos found via my favourite online sourcebook www.decorpad.com will hopefully set me in the right direction.
